A Simple Proposal On Making #OneDayMV a Twitter TT

OK, so we’ve tried to topple down those Trending Topic giants like #SharkWeek and #dearyoungself for two days in a row but we’ve come back home empty-handed. Our #OneDayMV battlecry didn’t really resound enough to crack their strong defenses and to scare them off and so we’re left here wond’rin' how to pull them down.

But don’t we dare lose hope. We are the Chasters, the stalwarts of Charice fandom! We won’t retire from the challenge to secure ground for #OneDayMV. We continue to march forward and let out a fiercer battlecry that will reverberate and tear down the Jericho-wall of those TT strongholds.

Beneath every battle lost lies the opportunity of learning to secure victory. We can look back, scrutinize and identify what went wrong despite the massive and united response to the CALL. Right after realizing we’re going in circles inspite of our tweeting frenzy, out of desperation, I tried to look for references in the net where we can pick some points to help us strategize and maneuver all our train of tweets into massive trending topic huge enough to stir craze among Twitter Heads and put our #OneDayMV at the top of Trending Topics!

Here are what I've gathered.

References:

(2)http://www.dailybloggr.com/2010/03/how-to-make-a-trending-topic-on-twitter-and-how-not-to/   (Please read)

These references clearly explained what went wrong during our first two attempts.  I’ll point them out in simplified manner.  Remember, THESE ARE THE DON’Ts!

1. Most of us (ouch! to me the most, LOL, i'm new in twitter) just typed anything with #OneDayMV in it.

E.g., #OneDayMV 1,   #OneDayMV 2,   #OneDayMV Let’s go!

2. Added #OneDayMV in UNRELATED tweet.

E.g., What’s up to all Chasters! #OneDayMV,   brb guys #OneDayMV

3. Flooding the Tweeter Page with anything with #OneDayMV  without any  organized thought just to maximize 250 messages per account  (ouch! to me again)

(Self-explanatory)

4. Tweeting a trending topic and posting a MISLEADING AND UNRELATED  LINK

E.g., I lost followers today http://who.unfollowed.me #whounfollowedme1 hour agoFavoriteRetweetReply  #OneDayMV

How do we rectify those mistakes at the top we’ve committed?  Please have a look first at these extracts:

“The most important thing is to make sure your Tweets are genuine thoughts or impressions and not attempts to insert yourself into a trend.” (from ref.#1)

“Everyone who clicks on the trending topics should be able to see real people's ideas and links to further relevant information.” (from ref.#1)

Having read the said extracts and references, we can now therefore rectify those problems above. Remember, THESE ARE THE DOs:

1. Don’t just tweet anything with #OneDayMV in it, MAKE your every tweet a  COMPLETE AND   ORGANIZED THOUGHT. You don’t necessarily  construct a complete sentence, just a complete and organized thought.

This will solve problems #1 and #2.

2. Tweets should be DIVERSE and COLLECTIVE. Try to make your tweets agree and flow (COLLECTIVE) with the trending topic.

My suggestion to this is (similar suggestions are found on the references as well) all CHASTERS tweeting during the launch should CONVERSE/COMMUNICATE with each  other with #OneDayMV topic rather than just tweeting anything with #OneDayMV.

E.g.,
magnustoday: yay, really like this #OneDayMV
lancecobi: Charice is so amazing in her dance in #OneDayMV
alias: who’s the diredtor of #OneDayMV?
harold: @alias I think Frodo (LOL) is the director of #OneDayMV
balahura: could sumbody tell me wts goin on with me? Can't get enough of  #OneDayMV
ariana: I can't help you @balahura same thing to me because of  #OneDayMV, lol

And so on…

There is a trending topic there. And that addresses the points raised in the extracts above. as well. Every Chaster looking at his/her timeline should be able to see any comment regarding #OneDayMV where he/she can also comment ACCORDINGLY with #OneDayMV of course.

Let’s be CREATIVE in our discussions while tweeting. Anything that can link our discussions with #OneDayMV will do. Somebody can ask a question or trivia where we can answer or incorporate #OneDayMV.

Sometimes, we may have to tweet with just a plain message WITHOUT #OneDayMV in it AS LONG AS IT WILL INVITE MORE MESSAGES WHERE WE CAN INSERT more #OneDayMV.

3. There is STRENGTH in NUMBERS. We have to PERSUADE MORE CHASTERS to join in this  undertaking for us to stand a chance against the naturally occurring trends we’ll be competing with by the time of our launch. The thing is there are more chances for us to succeed if we have a scenario of 1000 Chasters each tweeting one trend than 100 Chasters tweeting 10 trends each!

The Time Zone Effect

According to the reference, we should launch our plan when there is less competition taking place, less Twitter users around the world in other words. According to that ref, 12MN-6AM PDT has the least number of users so we’re safe at 6PM PHL Time which is ~ 3AM PDT.

Hohum…dunno how to put epilogue to this article now. I’m sleepy…'tis 4:30 AM!

I’ll just leave you guys with this:

Note: My proposal here is based on how I understood the articles. Please feel free to spill your input at the comment section so that we can collate all strategies and launch a massive tweeting frenzy that will catapult #OneDayMV onto the TOP!

For the Love of Our Princess Charice!
